Advocacy and Network-Building

The project enhances co-operation, information sharing and interoperability between different actors involved in various humanitarian and crisis management operations through advocacy, partnerships with different stakeholders and series of conferences.

The advocacy and network-building activities aim to provide a forum for multi-stakeholder dialogue in order to increase the decision-makers' awareness of the role of ICT in supporting the fulfilment of political mandates.

1) ITCM-conferences are designed to establish a common culture among the crisis management and ICT communities. They also aim to explore how the application of new ICTs can best support international crisis management efforts.

2) High-Level Workshops complement the ITCM advocacy work with key stakeholders in order to further address specific field security and communications issues.
